Designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world application

The Mini Concrete Skatepark Contest engages Concrete Industry Management (CIM) students in a hands-on, team-based competition that challenges them to apply their concrete mix design and construction skills in building miniature skateparks. Designed to bridge classroom learning with real-world application, the contest emphasizes creativity, sustainability, and innovation within the concrete industry, while fostering technical skills, teamwork, and community impact.

The event also honors the legacy of Dominic Lencioni - a CIM student and skateboarder - through the Dominic Lencioni Skatepark Internship and the broader mission of Skate4Concrete. By showcasing unique educational pathways and workforce development opportunities, including outreach to high school students, the contest not only celebrates skate culture but also serves as a recruitment platform at the World of Concrete, connecting students with industry leaders and potential employers.
